World’s Best Employers is an annual study by USIQ, the United States Institute for Quality. It covers employers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Türkiye. In each country our research team screens 15 percent of all companies and scores them against public data sources in ten core areas. Every employer that reaches at least 300 of 500 points receives the World’s Best Employer award for its country.

Data collection and scoring: November 10–30, 2026. The 2027 results will be published on December 1, 2026.

What is the World's Best Employers study?

The World’s Best Employer award recognizes companies that are attractive places to work, based on evidence that can be checked from the outside. We don’t run one employee survey and call it a ranking. We bring together many signals: how employees rate their employer on review platforms, results from workplace surveys, existing employer awards and certifications, and what companies publicly offer their people.

Each country has its own edition, its own sources and its own list. The method is the same everywhere, so the results follow one consistent standard.

In research terms, this is a meta-analysis. It pulls together evidence that already exists and weighs it with one consistent scoring model. Only employers the study has already recognized can order a marketing package.

Results and methodology by country

Each country has its own study page in the local language and its own list for 2027. The lists go online on December 1, 2026.

How the 2027 study works

The study runs once a year in five phases:

1

Defining the research question

We start from published research on what employees look for in an employer and turn it into clear criteria.

2

Selecting primary sources

For each criterion we pick sources that deliver comparable data. The number differs by country, from more than 15 in France to 55 in Germany and Türkiye.

3

Collecting and coding the data

From November 10 to 30, 2026, our teams gather data on the companies screened in each country and code it into the scoring model. AI helps us handle the volume. People check the results.

4

Analysis

Every employer receives points in ten core areas, up to a maximum of 500.

5

Awarding

In each country, every employer with at least 300 points is named World’s Best Employer 2027. The results are published on December 1, 2026.

The ten core areas we assess

The 500 points are spread across ten fixed areas, so no single factor decides the result: Subjective ratings sit next to objective facts, such as a certification a company already holds. Together they give a fuller picture than any one source could.

Employers don’t apply. The study team identifies the recognized employers itself, and only employers the study has already recognized can order a marketing package.
